With an ocean view

1/250 sec at f/3.8, ISO 100.
Nikon D200 with 18-200VR at 24mm.
Taken 23 October 2007 in Fuengirola, Andalucia, Spain.

Literally across the street from the restaurant where I had the gambas in the previous shot, these apartment blocks tower over the beach and the Mediterranean.

Nice shot. At first glance, I thought it looked like a hotel postcard.

Did you tweak the sky there, or was it really that deep shade of blue? I like the contrast between the orange tones of the building, the green trees, and the blue sky. Nice palette of colors.

Thank you!

The only thing I have done to the sky is to add contrast to the whole image, nothing specifically for the sky. (Some bits of the building and the trees have been burned a little to make them a little easier on the eye.)

Henrik... nice blog. My husband is from Andalucia but he is from Sevilla not the coast. I can't wait until our next visit to take more photos

@brc: Cool! I've only been to Spain twice; both times to the Costa del Sol. There's a lot of interesting things and scenery to capture there.

I see also that you are from Sweden. I assumed that you were from Norway. The majority of my ancestors came from Sweden. I have done a lot of family history research and Sweden is on the top of my list of places to visit. I wish Swedish wasn't such a difficult language to learn.

@brc> Yes, Swedish born and bread - moved to Norway four months ago. :-) Sweden is indeed a beautiful place - especially in spring and autumn; there's something with the countryside in transition that always amazes me. Oh, and don't let Swedish be a blocking factor for visiting - most Swedes speak good English. I hope you get the chance some time soon!

@brc> Oh, and on the subject of Spain; I just got the green light to go to Barcelona for a week on business in January. REALLY looking forward to that!
